Assistant Coach - Lilly Jacobs
Swimming has always been a huge part of my life and who I am. I swam for NVSL from the age of 4 all the way to 18 and I spent my last 4 years as a Junior Coach for my team. My love for the sport doesn’t stop there though, I swam competitively for Machine Aquatics my entire life and was a member of the James Madison High School Swim Team, acting as captain throughout my junior and senior year, and aiding my team in winning 4 State Championships. While I love to compete, I love coaching and helping other swimmers reach their goals just as much (if not more)! I've worked as an instructor at the Machine Performance center for the last 4 years, working with kids from the age of 1 all the way to 12. Currently, I am studying Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina with hopes of my future career allowing me to continue working with athletes. I’m known for my high spirits and never-ending energy and I can’t wait to bring all of that with me to High Point.
My name is Abby Bryan and I am a rising senior at McLean High School. I joined High Point at the age of 8 and that's when I started to really love the sport of swimming. In addition to High Point, I have been a year round swimmer with York Swim Club since I was 10. I've also been part of the McLean High School Varsity swim team for the last three years. Along with swimming, I've been coaching at various locations since I was 15, hoping to instill in the younger swimmers that same knowledge and love for the sport that I have received from my coaches. I've worked with swimmers of differing ages and abilities and as a result, become proficient in coaching beginners all the way up to more advanced swimmers. I am so excited to be able to coach the HiPPos for the first time and can't wait to have an amazing season!
As a longtime High Point Pool swimmer I am excited to be back as a coach for the third year and am looking forward to enjoying my final season ever as a HiPPo! Starting as a junior Dolphin when I was 5, I have had some amazing experiences at High Point, such as breaking team records and competing at All Stars, as well as participating in every pep rally and getting to know my awesome teammates of all ages. I feel so lucky to be part of this large swimming family! Aside from High Point, I am also a year round simmer at York Swim Club, which I have been a member of since I was 7. At Yorktown High School, I have competed on the Varsity swim team for the last 4 years, leading the team as captain and competing in state team competitions. As an instructor for the York swim school program for 4 years, I learned how to work with children of various ages and abilities, further enhancing my skills as a coach and leader, which I am excited to demonstrate again at High Point. My love for this team has kept me coming back all these years and I am thrilled to see everyone soon and to meet all our new swimmers! HiPPo CHOMP!
I am so excited to be back coaching for High Point for my second year! Swimming has always been a huge part of my life as I’ve been a member of the High Point swim team since I was a Junior Dolphin. I love the tight-knit culture at High Point and all of our pep rallies and team spirit! I’ve been a member of George Mason High School’s Varsity swim team for 4 years and helped lead the team to states. I’ve also competed with York Swim Club for 6 years as well, which has given me the opportunity to coach for the York swim school program for 3 years and work with kids of ages 4-8. As an instructor for The Swim Farm, I have coached ages 6-12, developing my coaching skills for all different abilities. I love coaching, creating connections with younger swimmers, and helping them become better swimmers and teammates! I am looking forward to an amazing season!
